We are well into our 8 day epic skiing adventure at Snowbird Resort. We've been storm skiing much of the week with 80+mph winds on the ridge tops and having an absolute blast as storms rage around us.
To call the week's adventures character building and lessons in resilience would seem pretty fitting. The challenges have been great physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually - in all the fun ways that build strong community - a closely-bonded TRIBE around shared experiences.
But... this morning has taken it to a whole new level. Enroute to another day of fun storm skiing, our merry group of adventurers was turned around and the mountain was closed with 105mph ridgeline winds. Just watching this storm from the safety of our ski condo has been a bit of an adventure on it's own. Car alarms going off and falling trees - It's been epic.
As one of my all-time heroes Yvonne Chouinard (Founder of Patagonia) says, "It's not an epic adventure until something goes wrong."
Cheers to epic adventures,
